Shahrzad (“Share-Zaad”/aka “Shar”) has over 10 years experience working with youth and families while
collaborating with collaterals from Courts, CPS, hospitals, schools, etc. focusing on helping at-risk youth
and their families with their relationship with one another.
Shahrzad is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is focused on resolving unprocessed traumatic memories with no requirement to talk in detail about the trauma/distressing memories while using bilateral stimulation. She is also proficient in NMT (Neurological Model of Therapeutics) which is focused on trauma’s impact on the functioning of the brain.
Shahrzad’s passion has always been helping people through accessing healing from within themselves
with respect to each individual’s perspective of their healing journey. Meeting each person where they
are in their journey and helping them discover and explore the roots of their struggles & needs is
another major area that Shahrzad is passionate about.
Treatment approaches: IFS (Internal Family Systems), EMDR, Family Systems, Strength Based, and
Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
