As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Lisa’s passion is helping others feel better about themselves while finding solutions to problems they are experiencing. She works with adolescents, teens and adults to help them face their current issues with patience and understanding. Her goals for her clients are to gain self-awareness, acquire new perspectives on what they are experiencing, and become emotionally stronger so they are better equipped to face life’s challenges, which all lead to a more satisfying and happier life. She strongly believes, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” –Aristotle

Lisa’s practice and areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment issues, interpersonal difficulties, and relational issues. She takes a unique approach to therapy that incorporates building a trusting relationship, getting to know her clients’ strengths, helping them understand why they are feeling like they do, and then coaching a variety of coping strategies that her clients can use when needed. These strategies include cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, self-compassion, acceptance, gratitude, and self-care practices.

Lisa uses a combination of the following therapies to assist her clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relaxation Techniques, Solution Focused, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
