This is a series of interactive classes to help introduce people to mindfulness and meditation. Classes consist of teacher-led talks, group discussions, and experiential learning. These classes are based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which is one of the most studied mindfulness programs in healthcare.
It is recommended that participants take Introduction to Mindfulness before taking the other classes as we will discuss what Mindfulness is and how it can be helpful. The second class, Mindfulness of the Body, will focus on practices that help develop an awareness of the body. The third class, Mindfulness of Thoughts, will focus on practices that help cultivate attention & awareness of the transient nature of our thoughts.
All Mindfulness classes will be held at the historic Enliven Health and Wellness
